Bio

Matt graduated from Guy’s Hospital in 1998 and joined the Army. After completing military training and winning the Sandhurst Cup for top cadet, he served in Germany, Kenya, Ascension Island, Bosnia, Oman and Afghanistan over a span of seven years.

He returned to the South-West in 2005 to undertake specialist orthodontic training at Bristol University where he was awarded the prestigious Harry Orton Award for the top academic student.

Matt joined the practice in 2008. He became a director in 2013, when he and his wife bought the practice. He has a special interest in adult orthodontics and is an accredited Invisalign and Incognito provider. He sits on the Orthodontic Specialist Group Committee at the British Orthodontic Society and the General Dental Practice Committee at the British Dental Association and is also the Vice-Chairman of the Wiltshire Local Dental Committee.

What do you enjoy most about working for Salisbury Orthodontics?

I am very fortunate to be a part of a fantastic team. Every day is different and I love the challenges we face and how we, as a team, overcome these challenges by working together.

What is the most rewarding part of your job?

Seeing how much more confident people get with their teeth through treatment. I also enjoy getting to know patients and their families.

What do you enjoy doing out of work?

As most of my patients know, I enjoy riding my bike! When I’m not cycling, I love to spend time with my wife, three children and two dogs!

What makes you smile?

I love a good joke. Or a bad joke!
