Consultation

We offer two different types of consultation, a free remote consultation with a treatment coordinator available for patients over 18. An in-house consultation with a specialist orthodontist is available free on the NHS to under 18s who are referred to us by their dentist, or costs £90 for private patients and over 18s.

Free remote consultation

This will be an initial discussion about your teeth via Zoom with a treatment coordinator. Different orthodontic treatments will be explained and the various treatment options discussed. We can also explain the different payment plans available and how they work. Only available for patients over the age of 18. Book your free remote consultation today.

In-house consultation

A new patient consultation with one of our specialists is an informal meeting that gives you the chance to ask any questions and take advantage of someone who is an expert in the field of orthodontics.

During the consultation, the orthodontist will carry out a detailed examination of your teeth, jaws and face in order to provide you with a diagnosis and some options for your treatment. However, the conversation will mainly be focused on your concerns and your goals for treatment. Book your private in-house consultation.

What happens at a consultation?

The consultation usually consists of the following:

  • Patient discusses their concerns and desires
  • Thorough examination of the teeth, gums, jaws and facial proportions
  • X-ray or scan of your teeth, if necessary
  • Discussion with orthodontist about the options for treatment, different braces that can be used and an approximate timeline for treatment

Following the consultation, you will receive a written quotation for your treatment which will contain all of the information discussed during your consultation and, in addition, a detailed description of your treatment options including the likely duration of treatment, a breakdown of the fees for treatment and possible payment plans.

At the end of the consultation, it is our aim that you should leave the meeting with a full understanding of the possible options for your orthodontic treatment.

There is no pressure to commit to a treatment on the day, although many of our patients book a follow up appointment on their way out of the practice!
